So I was kinda rushing this KDP kit seeing how I was using my buddy's shop at a late hour... But my only concern or real conscious kicker is the plastic Sleeve that comes with the crank seal. I instal crank seal into timing case then installed case... Now the plastic was portuding out towards radiator so I thought I might have to push this plastic piece back into seal/timing case with the balancer. I did so... Now that I am hearing different approaches to the job I'm seeing this probably wasn't the right thing to do. Tightened everything up truck drives fine an runs normal. My question is with pushing that plastic sleeve back into the timing cover with harmonic balancer will this cause any engine damage or will it just cause a leak an will I just have to replace the seal an be sure of taking that plastic sleeve out of the new seal

By the PST it seams these seals go from the inside out ??? Is there a better aseal driver out there ? I'm looking for extra covers as I think I'm going to have Mystery man change them to the Oldsmobile seal that he uses of which is a wet seal and is chapter and better
