Does Anyone know where I might get a 1st Gen fender Emblem restored? I have couple that the Chrome is blistered/peeling off the letters. I've shopped all over and can't find anyone who has new, or even good used ones.

Send me a PM and let me look in my part's collection and I will see if I can help you out Just pay shipping .

John, what years use the same emblem? If I get back running and can make the trip up, I can search the bone yards on the way up. Remember, I have no schedule, so can take time to look.

Jim,
I "think" 1989 thru 1993 all use the same emblem. Anyone out there who knows different, PLEASE correct me. I'm looking for some for your truck, so if you find something you like, get it.
Donovan,
Where I live, Arizona and southern Colorado, It seems most of the salvage yards have sent First Gen or older Dodge trucks to the crusher. ANY parts for these trucks are hard to find.
Also, because of the heat, plastic parts deteriorate much faster than they probably do up your way. What I see a lot of are plastic emblems that have blistered chrome or paint, like paint bubbles when you use a heat gun to remove it. For some reason, also, there seem to be more "350" emblems around than "250".
"Simplysmn" PM'd me and said he had a pair of "350" emblems I could have for shipping, and I really appreciate the offer, but I would prefer to find some good "250"
ones.
Don't make a special trip, (I know you have a full plate-or garage- already. ) But if you run across a pair like the one in the picture, that are in good shape, for a price you think is fair, grab them, and I'll pay you for them, or let me know how to contact the person who has them.
Thanks, Jack

Jack, My 90 had a different fender emblem than my 93. I can't find a picture, but I believe it had a Ram head in front of the red lettering.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure there was a difference.

Tugboat,
Thanks! I looked at my 90/93 Parts book CD more closely and I believe you are correct.
There are different part nos. for the '90 than for the later years. That isn't of major importance for my brothers truck though, as long as we can get 2 of the same.
His truck is actually a 1986 body. There are 2 holes in the fender for mounting the original "D250" with a rams head emblem. He has those, and can reinstall them, but would like to get the "Ram250 TurboDiesel" type which identifies the engine.
I have the ones off my Donor truck, which we converted to 4WD, but, as I said, the chrome is blistered & peeling.
Anyhow, thanks for setting me straight.
