When I eventually do get some, I'm going with the Xenon flares. Some other brands are reported to clean the paint right off where the flare touches the body.

I have these and ordered them to match, I like em.

edit except the double back tape has come loose from the body, don't like that. Have remounted them 2 times now with their kit and paying very close attention to temperature & cleanliness.

I was thinking about them also ,but read about guys paint rubbing off :(
Hard to see how that can happen, they screw on under the fender and on the outside use double back tape to keep them flush with no movement.

That's why I mentioned Xenon, because of the double sided tape. I think the Xenon flares look better on the 2nd gens but on the 3rd gens I'd go with the ATS.

I am getting ready to get them also. I have an Atlantic blue truck, would you recomend painted or black. Anyone have any pictures of painted and unpainted??

Don't think I would do black. Either body color or a nice look would be to order the silver flares and have a body shop do the bottom of the doors & fenders to match the flares. Atlantic blue is a nice color for that IMO.

Thanks to all the replies. Not sure why I strayed over to 3rd gen to post this my truck is an 02.

I'm putting on EGR flares next week, had them in the garage since last fall. They're not the same as everyone else's which is what I am kinda looking for. I live on a gravel road so I wont be painting them - why use them to cover paint chips and then have the paint chip on the flares?

Mine are fiberglass and have the lights

You half to have mud flaps In the front to keep stones from chipping the paint. I like them but a real pain.

Two-tone flares or single color?

I just ordered ATS flares for my maroon over silver '03 3500 LB. What y'all been doing on color, staying with black, doing single color or painting them two-tone?

I just installed a set of mopar power wagon flares on my truck. Looks just like the bushwhacker flares I had on the last truck but they fit a lot better. I left them black but they can be painted. My truck is white with black trim so they match pretty good. If I ever get a faster internet connection I'll post pictures of my truck.
