Who do you guy's think makes the toughest looking fenderflare?

The ones that I know about are the Warn 4xflares, and two different ones from bushwacker. The "O. E. Style" and the "Pocket Flares" I'm leaning towards the bushwacker styles but was wanting to pick the brains of someone else:confused:

Thanks for any input.

Flares

I have the Bushwacker on my truck and I think they look awesome. They come flat black so I had them sprayed before install to match truck color. One thing about them that I don't like is where they meet the body of the truck there is a rubber flange that sand and dirt will get behind and scratch a thin line across the paint underneath on the quarter panel. You can't see it unless you lightly pull them away to inspect from time to time. I paid to have them painted and installed plus the flares for a total cost of 600$. They project away from the truck 3 inches, so your rig will be 6 inches wider.

we have the BW. they look and work great but rub the fender. BW should recognize this and add clear decal to apply to quarter fender before installation. There is a company that sells clear decal material for the front of of cars as a paint protector. it may work.

I haven't bought any yet, but I like EGR. Their site doesn't show a very good picture of a Ram. I saw some on a 2500 and was able find out from the owner what brand they were. Nicest fit I've seen of all of them. Those Stillen's are looking good to me too.

Stillen Flares

I just ordered a set of the Stillen flares at the price listed above. They told me it was a miss print on the web site but that they would honor the price. So if you are looking for a nice set of Urethane flares at a good price order soon.

I should have the flares next week and I will let you know how they look.

I just purchased the Bushwackers extend-a-flairs. I left them black and they look great. I also got a fantastic price from JC Whitney. Less than $250 for all 4. They list for more, but the catalog I had has a discount for anything over $200.

I recently installed a set of Bushwacker OEM Flares on a friends truck. They look nice, but the quality and construction leaves something to be desired. As already mentioned they do not attach to the truck on the top portion. This may be fine for some, but the rubber seal they provide is not 100% in sealing out everything. Like someone pointed out, sand and dirt can still get behind the seal.

Also I found them to be very flimsy. My only other experience with flares has been with the Xenons and they are much more rigid than the BW's. Also the Xenons attach all the way around with two sided tape at the top.

Of the two Xenons get my vote hands down.

Those Stillen flares look nice and they are at a pretty good price too. Anybody have more info on them?

I found a box of Stillens on my porch when I got home today. 215. 00 for all four delivered to my door in four days. I ordered them after reading RO'neal's post and didn't do much research on the alternatives - the price is what sold me.

Without having anything to compare them to, they appear to be sturdy, decent flares. They're made of Urethane about 3/16" thick. They mount with double-sided tape on the top and eight sheet metal screws under the lip of the fender. With just my hold-em-up-and-take-a-look test, they appear that they will fit very well. The fronts don't look like they will stick out as far as I thought, but the rears have some good overhang. My 96 has full-length side moldings and I will have to remove them to mount the flares - it was just a matter of time before I got rid of them, anyway. An alternative would be to cut out the flare with a dremel to fit around the molding.

Based on what I've seen so far, they're a great deal. Lifetime warranty, too.

Did you get them for the $199. 00??:D :D Not a bad price for Urethane flares:--)

  Oh well!!!... . They say you snooze, you lose! The Stillen flares were $199. 00 as of yesterday on their website. Today they went up to $297. 00:mad:

I should have ordered them yesterday... :{

I guess I snoozed a little too long on this one myself. I have been looking at these for some time now, and today I made up my mind, I'm not buying a set. I guess I just saved $200 :) Oh well.

The $297 price is not bad, but the $200 would have been nice. When I went to Dodge to get a set they quoted me over $400 for a set...

I still don't have flares.
