I have a new 03 Dodge diesel HO with 6 speed. This is really a great truck. My beauty is jet black. The problem that I'm having is supposedly on 03 duallys. The rear plastic fender is expanding apparently during hot Texas days and creating a mark on the steel portion of the fender. When the plastic fender cools or is put in the shade the mark disappears. I suppose there is a expansion problem with the plastic fender mating to the steel fender. I took my truck to the dealer and they said no problem has come down from the manufacture concerning my problem. Has anyone else seen this marking problem?? Maybe someone has cured this problem if so please let me know.

Why is this a problem since it goes away when the truck cools off? If the fix is a new fender I would live with this before I would let DC mess with my truck. Sometimes the cure can cause more problems. JMHO

Since my 96 3500 has never done this, I'm assuming DC is using a different type of plastic on the 03s. One can only assume they ordered a year's production of these fenders already, and that a new fender material will be a running change in 04 or possibly 05.

Since they have a proving ground in Arizona, I'm surprised DC never noticed this.
