Back in September, I was driving west on US 34 in Loveland, when I went through a yellow light, and hit a woman turning left in front of me. Spun her around 180 deg, and **I** got the ticket. Did I not have the right of way? But thats beside the point. I hit her with the right side of the grille of my pickup, and it mashed the fender out and back. I have been unable to open the passenger door since then, and it is getting to be a pain. I tried to take it off a few weeks ago, to no avail. I undid all the bolts I could find, and it would not budge. I would like to, for now, loosen it up and move it forward the 1/2 inch to be able to open the door for now.

Anyone have any ideas? And where can I get a replacement fender, as this one has a few creases in it. I would like to take it to a body shop, but they charge too much out here. I can post pictures of it in a few days when my roommate gets back in town and shows me how to use the scanner.

TIA

Daniel

Hey Daniel,
My experience is with an '89 but I'm pretty sure fender mounting points didn't change much through the years so figure those bolts are everywhere. Two on underside of fender behind wheel well, one inside of wheel well (holds inner fender to cab), a row of bolts behind outer rim of grill to hold it to core support, and there's a couple washered nuts under the cowl grill. To get to these last two: pull windshied wiper arms and row of screws across front of cowl, off comes to grill work and you should be able to spot them. Last is one on the inside of the front of the door opening. Open the door and look into the opening between the front of the door and the back edge of the fender about half way between the top and bottom hinges. Also, don't discount the possibility that it just might be jammed up a little from the wreck.

Good luck, Jones
