Looked at it. Don't like it. I mean it looks like a Tonka, but it probably drives and lasts like a Ford. You can also see the desperation in that truck as they try to copy the Dodge curves and lines.

This was interesting, though:

"The HLA system, currently under research, is designed to improve fuel economy in large trucks by an estimated 25 to 35 percent in city driving. It A reversible pump/motor attached to the driveshaft through a clutch system and an energy storage module work in tandem with the traditional powertrain. The HLA system recovers energy normally lost during vehicle deceleration, stores it in the form of hydraulic pressure and then reuses it during acceleration. "

Let's see... If you are getting the PSD standard of 10 in the city and you up it by the HLA max of 35% you are getting 13. 5MPG in the city. About what a Dodge gets on the highway pulling a fully loaded trailer.

I also think I've seen toilets with a bladder in the tank that work in a similar way to make up for the low volume flushing...

What about my cLothes! ;) ;)

That (the ford tonka) has been around for a couple of years. Actually it is in one Toby Keiths video's ( I guess he is sonsered by ford. He does a lot of commercials for them)... ... . That's the only thing I don't like about him!

In some behind the video thing I seen one time, Toby said the truck would only go like 5-10 miles per hour I think. Just a show truck. And I think the cost was in the millions if something was to happen to it. Correct me if I am wrong.

the fender flares look good on it, but the cab is too low looking. just like the new f150's... ever seen one of them with a cab high topper on the bed. the rear glass is like 12" tall

Tonka did have good quality. Then they moved to south of the border. I'll never forget that because my aunt used to work there.

What I like most is that of the light duty pickups- Somehow ford sells lots of F-150's - but both a toyota and the dodge outperform them in almost every category. They cannot make a diesel that does not oil down the highways with a diesel/lube oil mix ( through the rod hole in the side), the 6. 0 will have a 3 or four year run before the desparate re-design. Ford is lucky that they have customers more loyal than GM's. That is saying a lot- GM customers buy aztecs- NUFF said
