On the spring tower, is the spring held in by the weight of the truck or does it use bolts? I see three bolts but did not know if they actually hold the spring or just a cup that the spring sits in?

Also, does anyone know the interior diameter of the spring cup, or exterior diameter of the spring. I could measure, but have not had time lately.

Thanks!

The spring is held in by the weight of the truck, when there's no weight on the springs the shocks prevent the axle from dropping far enough to fully extend the springs. The bolts only hold the upper shock mounts in place, heres a picture of the bolt rings Bolt rings
