Few Newbie Questions

I just bought a 92 Dodge W250 and had a couple questions. The front axle is a Dana 60 right? What spline count does the inner axles have? The rear axle is a Dana 70 right? What spline count do those axles have? Also, it has 4" inch stacks, so I should be ok for free flowing exhaust. I am going to put a BHAF on and some gauges here soon. I am also going to install the Lucas POD injectors. Is it smarter do just get the PDR HX 35 or just put some sort of different exhaust housing on the original turbo? The price difference only seems to be a couple hundred dollars? What is the best choice here? Also does the PDR HX 35 come with everything including the compressor housing and exhaust housing? Thanks for any help guys. I had my buddy from a diesel injection service shop help me turn the pump up a little today and it got me excited to start doing some upgrades.

I can't help with the spline count at the moment... ya I know, I know... . I have it hear somewere but can't find it. I believe the rear axles are 32 spline but I can't recall the fronts.

As for turbo recommendations, I am a huge fan of the PDR HX35 hybrid. It does not come with an exhaust housing as part of the turbo purchase. There are to many/varying choices out there that it would not be sensible to include an exhaust housing. If you want a particular one, you can order that at the same time.

I would suggest the 16cm housing as a dead center all purpose housing. It is pretty good to spool up and it breaths very well at the upper end of the throttle range. I really like mine and it has hung in there even when subjected to 1800*F plus... . go figure...

No matter what housing you use, do some porting/polishing on the exhaust housing inlets... open up the entrance by marking an outline of the gasket used at that joint and use that as you guide.

As you move inward use some extra care cause the walls of the housing aren't that thick and you may remove too much.

Polish and smooth as far in as you can and, if you have a small cylinder hone then hone the outlet of the housing too. It's not a big impact but every bit helps.

the front axle is 1. 5" 35 spline inner shafts and 30 spline 1. 31" outer shafts. yes it is a dana 60.

The Dana 70 should have 1. 5" 35 spline shafts... that's what the 70 in my CJ-7 has, at least!
