Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) FG oil filters

I use the 3552 oil filter in my '95 , this week the local Cumnins dealer sent me a case of 3894 filters, said they were a replacement for the 3552. They are the same size, and appearance, but are they the same?

The LF3552 is the Microglass filter and the LF3894 is the Stratapore. I personally prefer the Stratapore. We have been running the LF3894 on our 96' for a long time.
