Fifth airborne sidewinder pinbox

Just saw this on www.fifthairborne.com a pinbox that swivels at the trailer mount via a turret. . going to get this next year but so far I see it at $1200... anyone know of another place that might be cheaper?

Camping World know carries them, and a shop in town has a good price. Call around, my price was $720. 00 for the style that fits on a Montana.

I am sold on the idea, but what they show would kick my kingpin out about two feet, don't need that. I THINK they only show one model, and maybe they have models for different trailers.

On the site I saw, the sidewinder only or the air only is 700 something... the air ride AND the sidewinder pivot is 1200. . any better deals on that model?

Check with your 5er manufacturer about using this hitch. Some are voiding the frame warrantee with the sidewinder!

Recently purchased an Americ-Camp Summit Ridge with frame built by Lippert. Since I have a short bed 3500, I wanted a Fifth Airborne/ Sidewinder. Lippert told me that any change to the pin box would void the frame warranty. So I went with the SuperGlide at twice the cost of the Fifth Airborne Sidewinder. The SuperGlide is a wonderful piece of equipment, but I would have liked the air shock of the fifth airborne. By the way, when I asked how I could have the Fifth Airborne/Sidewinder and still keep my warranty, Lippert told me if I bring the RV to their factory, they would install it under warranty. BS! The folks who sold me the fifth wheel subsequently told me that Lippert is trying to sell their frames to the RV manufactures with the Fifth Airborne/Sidewinder as an option, i. e. , more $$.

They are currently making frames for NuWa HitchHikers (specially designed for them) and come with Demco Glide Rides as an option...

Mine wasn't affected by this company recall. It was a pretty easy fix, for those that were affected, and most people did the repair themselves. Thanks for the heads up... Rick
