My '99 finally lost fifth gear, (138,000 miles), I'm in San Diego and need a good transmission shop. Anybody know of one?

Or you could call Standard Transmission in Fort Worth for a referal, 1-800-783-8726.



Both of these companies make the fully splined shaft to keep the problem from happening again and I would make sure the trans shop gets parts from them.

my name is Jim Allison my number is 619 517 0527 the parts that you are looking for are available locally. Try Border Parts they are in spring valley they are in the book. My friend rebuilt mine for me he used to have a shop and he can either do the work for you or reccomend a good shop if that is better for you. The 4500 is easy to work on compared to a automatic but a shop that does autos may not be the very best place. Give me a shout and let me know where you live and we can get you going.
