OK, here's a dumb question...... today I finally took delivery of my long delayed (60 days shipping) new 2014 Big Horn CC SB.

OK, so next week I'm getting my Pullrite hitch installed/reinstalled (with TWO adapters!!!!). So I tried to remove one of the fifth wheel/goose neck plastic plugs... just to take a peek...
And both the inner and outer spin... so what is the proper method to remove these plug without destroying them???

I told you it was a dumb question!!!

Going from memory... without actually running out to my truck to try it... the inner plug needs to be removed first by turning counter clockwise until it stops then pull up. Hold the outer trim ring from rotating while you do this.

Once the inner plug has been removed, then the outer trim ring can be pried out of the bed. It's simply snapped into the opening in the bed.

Best regards,

John L.

That was it plus a pen knife to pry it up a bit.
Thanks :) :) :)

just tangent off the OP, if anyone has Line-X/Rhino lined their bed, are outer plugs rings left in or removed to get the lining done? I want to get my bed lined but curious about those rings.... oh, I will get a 5th Wheel hitch someday too.... if that makes a difference.... on how I should go about getting my bed lined...

thanks

I think maybe you'd want to leave the factory bed plugs in, but mask them off so they could be cleaned and removed.
