Filigree? Linked-metal animals...

Okay, I have two animals made of little metal (partly painted) pieces linked together, so they're hinged and very pretty. They're 3-D and about 4 inches long, with a little eyelet for hanging. Mom got me one in Japan years ago and I'm not sure where I got the other one.

Problem is, I can't seem to find that sort of thing anywhere! Google and Bing searches only turn up jewelry which is not even close. Anyone know of this kind of thing? I'd like to find some for my Mom.
