Could I have a bad filter minder? I have a K&N filter, I did a visual inspection the other day, and it was caked with oily mud. The filter minder was not pulled down any from the reset point. Upon installation of the cleaned filter, I had noticeable increase in throttle response and my trip computers avg. mpg went from 12. 6 to 14. 9. I drive seven hours a day on rough, dusty ranch roads and I am concerned about filter life and more importantly turbo life. Any thoughts?
