Filter Minder

Does anyone know the best way to mount a filter minder in the rubber intake of a 92. What should I expect to pay for one? Napa wanted $35. Thanks.

Napa only charged me $26 for one last year. To mount you just drill the correct size hole and snap it in.

Yep, what Illflem said! I also put a little sealant at the groove when I installed mine. Got mine from Willyslover when he took off his stock filter setup on his new truck. You might check around and see if any one else has one laying around.

Illflem, snap in? The ones I've seen have a threaded brass end. Is there a snap in type?

You have three options on a filter minder, snap in which installs sort of like a grommet, threaded and threaded for a remote mount. If you want to get fancy you could install one of the remote mount types on your dash like the old Caterpillars. They are plumbed in exactly like a boost gauge. There are also electric type filter restriction idiot lights available in different vacuum ratings, this is what most tractors use now instead of a minder.
