Filtering Coolant?????

The coolant filters I've experienced were on OTR trucks and were more than just filters, they also dissolved DPA into the coolant at a constant rate to keep the anti-cavitation additive up. Not a problem on our trucks.

None of the million mile Cummins I've read of have had coolant filters. Take it from there.

From what I have read, the "filters" with the additive in them don't really filter anything. You can get a filter without the additive in them.
