Well, I was reading in the 24valve forums that "cheap" oil filters came apart and ruined the Cummins. Can this be true? Remember in the last TDR issue there was an oil filter comparison and the only one found to be disturbing was the Fram, this is what they were having the problems with. Are any other good filters acceptable? What about Baldwin or maybe even the ones at Autozone? They said in the comparison that the $4 Deutsch ones from there are made by teh companies that produice K&N and Mobil 1. What do you guys feel? Is Rotella T a good oil? Thanks!

Baldwin filter is what I use on everything. Tractors, Dozers, Cars, Trucks and even my Lawnmower. Good filters and have never had a problem.

Baldwin and WIX I feel are far superior to any Fram, and eisy to find at local retailers. I would recommend agaist scimping on oil or the filter you use. Rotella is a good all around diesel motor oil.

Check out Geno's on the links and buy the Fleetguards online for as good a price as you'll find anywhere. Even for the others. :D
