I have always wondered what is the difference between different brands of filters? Well, I thought the article in the last TDR magazine was great. Does anyone use Autozone/Deutsch filters. I was a bit skeptical of them at first but then this article came along and it seemed to tell us that they were quality constructed filters. The price in my area (OH) seems to be the same for the Fleetguard (which i'm running now) and Deutsch. The thing about Deutsch is that they're always in stock and the parts store is open til 9:00. Let me know what your runnin' and what kind of luck you've had.
 
I only use Fleetguard and buy a half-dozen at a time.

Fleetguard, they cost 1/2 what the Frams do. I get them for $5. 50 Canadian each and they always have them instock.

Fleetguard Stratapore - I'm running Amsoil Synthetic 15W40 and thats what Cummins recomends for synthetic. I just bought a case and the price per filter was $7. 00.

Fleetguard is the best, the new issue of TDR will make you feel like a sinner for using other brands #ad


I run WIX filters, they have been around for a while, and I have a friend who is a dealer. I change my oil frequently 2000-2500 miles and have never had any problems. #ad
