I read about high prices for filters for our trucks. I bought a Fleetguard LF3894 stratapore oil filter for $8. 40 and a Fleetguard FS19579 fuel filter cartridge for $9. 45. I bought them at a local heavy duty truck parts house. Is this a good price? My truck is a '01. 5

Chris, those prices are okay, you can save a little if you want to order them from Geno's but to be able to walk in and pick them up you did just fine. Pete

Chris,

The oil filter price is good, about average, the fuel filter price is very good.

Chris - If you search through the old posts I think that all the really high prices mentioned will be from the dealer like mine across the street that wants $56+ for a fuel filter when I can buy them for $14 (delivered to the house).

Chris, that's a great price on the fuel filters. Geno's is $14. 95 plus shipping. We won't even mention Mopar price.

I bought fuel filters for my 99 at the following link for $10. 28 each. The shipping was like $5. 95 for one filter so I bought 4 and the shipping was $7. 95.

Today I purchased two additional LF3894's (Strat's) from Cummins Northwest here in Portland. They cost me $7. 63 each. I also use Premium Blue (non synthetic) at a cost of $7. 74/gallon. I change everything at 5,000. Easy to keep track, and way more than adequate. The folks at Cummins NW told me that the Synthetic Blend is not recommended till 50,000.

Maybe local chapters could make a group purchase of filters.

There WEB site is:
