Finally! (almost)

Well, I just ordered my first diesel truck this afternoon from Benny Boyd Dodge in Lampasas, TX. From reading the TDR, I knew exactly what to order and what to expect... including the ignorance of the salesman. I understand that he can't know everything about every car he sells. Here's the short list of features:
2500 SLT QC 4x4 Auto HD X-fer case 3. 54 diff (trying to see if there are any LS parts left at the factory) Amber fire/bright silver
If any of y'all have seen the new amber color you will agree that this is the perfect color for someone who just graduated from the U of Texas (burnt orange). 6-8 weeks is just too long!

Congratulations on the new truck. I spent quite a bit of time in your neck of the woods. I dated a girl from the Fort Worth area for about three years. Last year I had an opportunity to make some extra cash hauling equipment from a food plant in FW to Lampasas. We made nine trips with a 32’ trailer weighing 20,000# loaded. All was well except for the one trip where the trailer brake controller went out while on I-30 in downtown FW (right near the I-35 construction). Thought I'd have to replace the cloth on the driver's seat.

I feel for ya' sammy. That 30-35 interchange can be hair raising running solo, let alone hauling a trailer. I sure wish they would get the construction done soon. They will just find some other place to tear up next.
