finally got some time last night to remove the junky NAPA tstat, that would open and close whenever it felt like it, put the updated tstat in, along with some 50/50 compleat coolant from fleetgaurd, and things are they way they should be. tstat oppend right at 180 not a hair over, gonaa hve to get some cardborard now! takes a litle bit longer to get warmer, and hold a higher temp, but thats they way it should be in the winter time.

Is a replacement from DC the same or is the Cummins one better, my temp does the wander thing all day long and it's annoying to me, I bought a new T-stat from DC and just have not had the time to install it

I don't know if DC or Cummins stat would be the exactly the same but I bought a T-stat from my Dodge dealer about a month ago, and it was in a Cummins box that said Genuine Cummins all over it. Either way I think that a T-stat from DC or Cummins would be better than the junky NAPA part.

The DC stat is a Cummins stat with the DC part number label on it. Only difference is the DC markup on price...
