I did see Kodiak bears in Kodiak, Alaska on my first trip in 1995.

They are showing repeats. We had the DVR set to record the first two episodes and then a storm came up and we lost power. I was able to find the episodes again this week and get them recorded. Another great series was Frozen Planet, which aired sometime last fall. Discovery is selling DVDs of that show and we plan to order it. I can't remember the price, but it is well worth it. Fantastic photography and information.

All of these type shows are on DVD that we have ordered, There was another series of shows that Sigourney Weaver narrated about the Earths oceans, forests ,mountains, deserts that had fantastic photography, these are the type shows that I will watch most everything else of TV is a waste of time to me. Especially the News I don't even watch it for weather, I just do it the old fashion look out the window and take a coat has worked for MANY years and is a lot more accurate but have to admit the Weather Girls are a bunch better to look at. Don't know if its still on but THIS WEATHER AND NEWS SHOW was great!!!! Wife always wanted me to become more involved in world events until I found this show, I would turn down the sound and sit and watch she walked by and said TV on and NO SOUND??? Nope don't need sound for this News show!!!!! She laughed and said I could go back to watching westerns cause there was NO HOPE FOR ME
