finally got 600! what is that noise???

picked up the long awaited 600 today!

i notice there is a strange noise between 1500 and 2000 rpm. it sounds like a ticking or water boiling. it's wierd. the motor is so quiet i really notice it. BTW... i have a auto with 3:73 gears. no vibration at 70 mph which is good. overall, great truck! should i be worried about the noise? thanks... james

Water boiling... This sounds more muted than the normal complaint Of "ping" or clatter. Does the power feel right?

i'm not sure if the power is right...

i'm used to driving a hopped up 99. it seems a little sluggish. i really have to put my foot into the go pedal to get it to move out! i'm probally just spoiled by my DTT transmission. the 600 only has 30 miles on it. it will probally get better once it starts to break in... . i hope... james
