First timer... Info needed

Hey guys -

I'd like to thank all of you who posted feedback on my various questions in the past... and if Pete from hackensack is reading... thanks man - i've been asking questions for over a year!

Onto the truck...

1997 CTD long bed, ext cab

Jannetty Racing did a ton of work to it...

Pias front and rear, new :tie rods, ball joints, steering box, borgson steering shaft,DT trac bar, stabilizer, all 8 universals, frontdriveshaft lengthened, drilled rotors,ss brake lines,BD exhaust brake,autoloc,pressureloc,DD2's JRE3 plate,60#intake and exhaust springs,JRE cold air filter, delivery valves, KDP tabbed, synthetic front and rear axles, and power steering fluid, fender flares,Hadley airhorns 28" custom JRE transmission,Mag Hytec DDtranny pan and rear end,JRE 4" exhaust, aluminum nerf bars,3 Autometer gauges in pillar, built auto and TC.

I bought it from a TDR member out on Long Island... I think Steve is the most anal, meticulous man I've ever met! But that's a good thing when buying a used truck!

It was a real treat to drive it home... in the dark... in the pouring rain though Manhatten!! Did I mention it is on a 4. 5" skyjacker lift and 35" tires? Remember my previous daily driver was a '97 Kia... it was a good learning experience to navigate this monster thru NYC back to S NJ. The air horns helped my fend off New Yorkers! ;)

Truck is great... seller was great - I'm getting use to the size. I do have 2 small changes to the truck:

1) call me a wuss... I'm taking off the skyjacker lift and going to stock height with a 2" leveling kit... but i'm keeping the 315/75/16 tires on 16x8's :D My research tells me they should still fit.

2) I'm getting rid of the VERY expensive Reading Cap on the truck. It's a $2800 cap, but I just want the bed with a nice liner in it. So, hopefully I can sell off the cap - it would be PERFECT for anyone in construction or any big hunter.

Hope to meet a few of you local guys... watch for my rig pulling my Supra to the race tracks this season!!

Thanks,

Jay

Thanks - no problem on checking out the Supra - it's out getting a TH400 swapped in for racing... . yes, a TH400 in a Supra! Should be done in a week. We'll take it out for a few blasts!
