MY TRUCK ARRIVED AT THE DEALER LATE THIS AFTERNOON. MY SALESMAN LET ME DRIVE IT AROUND A LITTLE BIT BUT I CAN TAKE IT HOME TOMORROW!!!!!!!! YEAH, LIKE I'M GONNA SLEEP TONIGHT AFTER DREAMING ABOUT IT FOR OVER FOUR MONTHS. MY SIX SHIFTED REAL SMOOTH WITH NO GRINDING BUT THERE'S ONLY 7 MILES ON THE TRUCK CAN'T WAIT TIL TOMORROW.

I have been following your trials closely on this website and am really glad for you! I'm also really glad to hear how smooth the 6-speed is--I get the impression that if they're going to grind, they do it from the outset Anyone have a differing opinion on this?

When you come back down and/or get back from your first roadtrip let us know how it is!

Mine just left from Mitchell, IL this morning--I'm as excited as you are!! How long was yours in the pipe? Did it sit on the lot after arrival at the dispatch?

I've been deliberately quiet about the truck I have coming, kind of superstitious that way, I don't want to jinx it, and it seriously makes it harder to walk away from a deal if you've told the world what you bought.

WELL IT WAS BUILT ON THE 5 & 6 OF FEB. IT THEN SAT FOR ABOUT 2 OR 3 WEEKS IN A LOT SOMEWHERE. ON FEB 26 IT WAS RAILED TO ILLINOIS THEN IT TRANSFERED FROM UP TO CSX WHERE IT DID ITS 8 STATE TOUR OF DUTY. IT THEN SAT OUTSIDE PHILADELPHIA FOR ABOUT A WEEK BEFORE A CAR CARRIER HAULED IT UP HERE TO MY DEALER. I ALMOST DIED WHEN I SAW IT SITTING ON THE LOT AT THE DEALER AND THEN TO SEE THE STICKER SAYING THIS TRUCK BUILT FOR ME WAS AWESOME!!!!!! #ad

I used it and found most of it very helpful. The dealer thought I needed to be institutionalized, though. Took me over an hour to complete, and then I signed the papers.

I REVIEWED THE LIST AND ALSO FOUND SOME INTERESTING POINTS BUT I COVERED A MAJORITY OF THEM TODAY WHEN THE DEALER LET ME PARK MY TRUCK INSIDE THE SHOWROOM FOR THE NIGHT. IT WAS NICE TO GO OVER THE TRUCK INSIDE ON A CLEAN FLOOR INSTEAD OF OUTSIDE IN A SNOW COVERED LOT WHERE THE TEMP IS IN THE TEENS!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S FINALLY HERE. #ad

I use the excuse that I have to go to the minny mart, but have to drive it till the engine is up to temp cuz its a diesel and can't shut it down before it's at operating temp or it will hurt the engine.

I was dreaming about my new truck last night. I hooked up our camper, but when I would start out in 1st gear, the truck would go backwards. I was so ****** that they didn't check for things like that. I sure hope it comes soon. ... on it's way from Texas to Rolla, Colorado on UP. I can't figure out where Rolla is. It's not a city or town that I know of. I think it's the name of a UP RR yard, but not sure.

Mine was said to be built on 2/26/01 but it was finished on 2/23/01 and was in QA! I am in Michigan and last I checked it was not loaded on a railcar. Mine has left the plant! I can't wait!

I can't believe the dealer let you park it on the showroom floor! There's a sticker on it that says, "This vehicle made especially for CUMAPART?" Way cool!

Go figure. Yours traveled by CSX? Mine's on Norfolk Southern. It's hard not to check the progress every ten minutes. Mine sat on the lot in St. Louis for about two weeks, still trying to figure out why. Quality control? A slot on the rail system? A bad transmission?

I hope it doesn't sit long in NJ, before they load it on a truck and drop it off to the dealer.

Have a great drive when you finally take the keys!!
