Hey, I don't post much, but I check this site out pretty much daily. I'm a first time CTD owner, bought my 95 last September. I use the truck to tow a 10K lb fifth wheel and needless to say I was not so enthused about stock power. Well, after lurking here for months, I convinced myself I needed full gauges, a #10 plate and a 3K GSK. Ordered everything from Piers last week and went to work when I got my packages Friday. Put the gauges in on the weekend, a bit of a PIA but not too bad. Tonight (which brings me to the point of my post) I installed the 3K GSK and the plate. I went through the side for the GSK and put the plate in the stock location. I checked to see that the fueling arm was hitting the plate just up from the bottom tip (it was). I slid the AFC full forward, installed the boost elbow, buttoned everything up and went for a ride. WOW! :) :) :) :) :) It was even better than I expected. When I got home my wife kept asking me why I was laughing so hard. I couldn't stop giggling to tell her!! Thank you all for your bombing posts and thanks to PDR! I'm looking forward to towing with it this weekend.

. Now just try and imagine how good all that torque would sound coming out a 4" pipe:D

Trouble maker! ;) Sounds to me like it's time to pull the turbo silencer ring, 4'' exhaust... . more fuel... more boost. . repeat!

It never ends... You have not officially been bit by the BOMB'ing bug.

Josh

Sounds like you are having fun, great, just don't ruin it by not building up that transmission! It won't hold much if you get a case of lead foot!!

RottenRon,

Like CarlJensen said. Take care of your transmission first. I burned up 4 47rh's Until I got a Pro-Loc.

RottenRon,

Can you provide the EGT and boost for cruising 55 and at max accelleration if you have that data. I'm looking to do the same mod on the same truck but 5 spd.

Thanks,

Paul

Give the truck some timing also. To use the power you may wont to buy a different transmission and converter. good luck jim
