FASS on ebay under 300

I like it!

The turbo isn't as shrill, but I can hear more of the good sounds.

EGT that would kiss 1400 now will not exceed 1200. (elev: 6100 ft)

Spoolup seems maybe a hair quicker-- I can't really quantify that.

The main difference is how fast EGTs come down when you get out of it. BIG difference. They come down now almost as fast as they go up.

Best of all, I still have good filtration with no oil on the filter. Turbo cooldown seems faster, too.

One thing I did is grease the outside of the BHAF flange with axle grease to 1) help slip it on and 2) ensure an airtight seal.

I didn't do a heat shield, just some quick protection for the outer wire from the OEM holddown studs.

THIS IS A GREAT BOMB!

Air filter

I think you'll see the mileage go up a bit when (if) hualing a load. I put my AFE back on for towing (wife thinks it's too loud) and picked up about . 5mpg. That's not much. . but it's telling me the airflow is helping combustion.

I have seen better mileage. I typically get around 16mpg, with about . 3mpg variance.

Last fillup was 17. 5, almost all in town with short trips and lots of cold starts.

I'm anxious to see the HWY mpg.
