How do I tell if my Axle is a Dana 70 or Dana 80?

Which Plate?

I've read the symptoms of a dirty Throttle position sensor, and it appears as what I am experiencing around 40 mph ~ 2000 rpm when my transmission is hunting for the right gear.

I want to clean it and check it out, but how do I find it?

The TPS is attached to the throttle bracket on the side of the injector pump. I don't have an automatic and I don't have a photo of a TPS (guess I need to open someone's hood the next time I have the camera handy).

This diagram will show you the location of all of your engine sensors, including the TPS.

Edit: I had requests for a larger version with better clarity. This 850x550 version is 100KB, which is the best compromise between image clarity and file size. Go for it if you have the bandwidth!

Excellent! After writting the post I poked around, thought that was it. Now I am sure. Great Chart will keep it handy!

Thanks!
