Well yesterday I finnaly got to tow something with my CTD. A friend has a 2002 Subaru WRX that has a blown motor & he needed a tow to the local speed shop to get the motor rebuilt. So he asked if I would mind... ... HECK NO... . was my reply... I have been waiting to tow anything!

Total trailer/car was around 5000lbs (hardly breaking a sweat for the CTD)

I cant belive it! It was like the car/trailer wasnt even back there. the only time I relized it was during braking. What an awsome truck! Thanks Dodge/Cummins

here are a few pics... ...

So you have a 1 ton, and thats the first thing you have pulled?? I bet that motor has barely been broken in! see my gallery for hauling pics. . I think mine is well broken in, as I am at 188k on the clock. .

Baptism by fire

Well I also got my first chance to tow but it was unexpected- I went to NY to meet up with my brother and his friend who runs an 8 second Chevy at Cecil County Md- three hour trip from LI. Well his old Chevy tow mule blows a brake line and I offered to hook his trailer up. A closed box 28 foot race trailer with car and gear and crew- we had about 10,000 pounds back there- a little less. No trucks on Parkways in NY- I had to take this circus through NYC and the infamous Brooklyn Queens Expressway- no trailer brakes or lights ( they fixed the lights for the return trip)- the steering wheel has nail marks on it and I sweated my way through narrow lanes, racing rice rockets, construction cones and everything else. worse roads and potholes I have ever seen. Along with us was my brothers bosses Pro Mod car towed by a new Duramax. He ran a 6. 62,6. 63 and a 6. 58 at 215 mph. My brother is on his crew. I pretty much kept up with the Duramax but he was towing a little bit more and he had me on the level ground but I was on his butt going up the inclines on the Verrazano Bridge and the Delaware Memorial- I have no complaints about power and the 400 plus mile round trip tow was good for Big Green. Duramax was way more comfortable and refined inside but is a whole lot more expensive. I will keep Big Green

Yep I did the same thing one year ... Got lost with a Pro 5. 0 'stang in tow with a chevy z-71. Man I swear to this day SOMEONE was looking out for me ..... WHEW!

FreeBMW- Where is Grosse Pointe from Troy? I was in Troy for a wedding (May 9-10). I saw a truck that looked just like yours. Had the extra mirrors as yours does, same color.

more towing! yay!
