Fire Piston VS Flint and steel

Here is a real eye opener and a historical footnote to the origination of the Diesel Concept. Supposedly, Herr Diesel noted the use of this devise, as an aid to starting a fire before safety matches were invented. I saw one in use at a Rendezvoux last weekend and it is AMAZING how little pressure it takes to bring the temperature of air up past the kindling point of wood or cotton.
