Before it gets wintery, I want to locate a source for the AC plugs that fire trucks use that eject when the key goes live. I want to replace my existing block heater connection with it. Click it and forget it. Anyone know where I can find these?

i was thinking about doing it also. auto ejects are so nice for what they do. i got up for a middle of the night run once and forgot to unplug the truck. at least it just unplugged. when i got back and saw the cord stretched out in the street i thought "oops".

My big one was when it snowed unexpectedly on the cord. I didn't see the cord so I didn't think about it (first winter). After that I started plugging the truck into a drop light so I would know it was there in the mornings.

Still not as COOL as my idea :D lol I've only had the truck for one winter and I didn't forget the line again last year. I'm still gona get this hooked up.

Heres a Pic of what I have done on my Ford to solve the problem of fumbling around with the block heater cord when its 10° out. Its available for around $20 from boating stores. I have to order one so I can put it on the dodge for this winter.
