fire wall

Hi Ya'll:
In looking at the fire wall, getting ready for gauges, I don't see the correct place to penetrate for the pyro. and boost line. The only spot I see is at the wires,(power) and that seems low for the boost line. A friend said this was a 2 hour job, I can't seem to get started... ... ... ..... HELP... ... ... .....

Yep, the "big grommet" is the place. Remove the knee bolster if you need to, so you can see the inside where the grommet is. You can use a coat hanger and after punching a small hole in it, thread the wire or line from under the hood. Then you can reseal with black RTV sealer.

And if that doesn't work,use a drill bit and RTV sealer on the hole. You will have to drill into the truck sometime!

I enlarged the grommet opening which allows for the hood release cable. This was the Jacob's E-Brake installation manual's recommendation.
