Now, see what I meant (in another thread)? All that was shown was a dog sniffing a hydrant and recognizing a scent. Now it could be that Dave simply brushed against the hydrant, or sneezed on it, or half-wrapped himself around it trying to open the rusted valve. Another possibility is the one will24 visualized.

As the forum's owners (via the moderator) have been attempting to communicate, we really don't need to be so explicit in our musings.

Granted, not all of us can write eloquently with ease, but is that any excuse not to try? Remember, the day we stop learning, stop trying to become better, is the day we start dying.

If someone complains about the ... explicit wording of one of your posts and you can't think of a way to word it differently, ask someone else!

As far as *I* am concerned, words simply have meanings that conjure up images. If I find such an image objectionable, I forget it and move on.

Whilst I really don't want to see this site lowered to gutter level, I really don't want it to raised to a "Diplomatic Dinner" level, either. Somewhere near the middle will be fine.

And when the content starts sinking toward gutter level, it is the moderator's job to step in and gently coax it back to a level acceptable to the site's owners.
