You would think that after the trouble Firestone had had they would take a little more care of their current customers, but thats what we get for thinking!
Made an appointment to get my annual replacement (55,000 mile) of Bridgstone 285 x 16 Dualer AT's.
Went to the company store in Prices Corners, DE and after about 30 minutes truck was taken inside.
After about 10 minutes, I left the customer area to look out the window into the shop, only to see the my hood open and the but and feet bottoms of a tire buster sticking out!!!!
Asked Chuckie just what in 'ell was going on and was advised they had to get the serial number.
I loudly advised him the serial number was on the windshield and the door post and they had no business under the hood. Ole Chuckie said that was their standard procedure!
As I started toward the truck, ole' Chuckie said if I was going to act that way, they didn't have to put new tires on my truck!
Gee, imagine that, Chuckie was doing ME a favor selling me tires!
I got in and started the engine, and told them they had ten seconds to open the door. And Oh by the way, after 40 years as a Firestone customer, the next ones won't be Firestone.
Boy Chuckie showed me!
I did contact Firestone Marketing by e-mail with no results.
