Before it gets any colder outside I am going to install some aux lights and am wondering if anyone has found an easy way to pass wires thru the firewall into the engine compartment. There is pretty limited visibility looking up under the dashboard from inside and also from the under hood. On my old Jeep there is a "plug" where the clutch linkage would pass thru,... do 4th Gens have anything similar?
Thanks for any suggestions

There's a rubber plug you can easily pierce right behind the fuse box on the firewall. Run a stiff wire up behind your brake pedal and feel for it with your hand. It's where I ran my Amp Research power step wiring through.

Thanks! that's what I was hoping for, I'll take a closer look. On my '01 I removed the rubber boot where the parking brake cable passes thru the floor but I haven't tried to trace all that out yet either. Thanks again, just need it to warm up a bit now!

You can remove the clutch master cylinder plug, drill the appropriate sized hole through it and re-install, run your wires through it.

Thanks! that's my plan, just hoping everything is as easily accessible as on my old Cherokee.
How is the flooding along Table Rock Lake...... is the dam still releasing?

I just reached down there and drilled a 1" hole with a hole saw for my MaxBrake and PacBrake plumbing then I caulked around everything with Permatex "The Right Stuff".

When the spill gates were open, they were releasing right at 100,000 cfs. The spill gates are closed and they are releasing just what goes through the turbines, about 13,000 cfs ( cubic feet second ). To put that in perspective, there is 7.5 gallons in a cubic foot.
