What is the best way to penetrate the firewall for wires and tubing? Are there grommets available for sealing? Your help is appreciated.

Use the grommet on the drivers side, just left of the steering column... . if you are in the hood, it is behind the master brak cylinder.

If you have an auto you gan go through the rubber plug where the clutch should be. With a stick I went through the wiring harness. If you look from the floorboard it is in the upper right corner of the firewall. You can use a long screwdriver to push in the plastic ears that hold it in and it is very easy to use.
Good luck, Scott

I have a load of wires and tubes passing though my grommet with five gauge functions and a remote starter and have never removed the grommet. I made a tool, mostly for pulling telephone wires though walls that works excellent. It's just a 1/4"x 2' long round steel rod with a sharp point ground on it and small hole drilled in the middle part of the point(drilled before grinding). The other end is bent in a L. I just push it though the grommet from under hood, loop a wire though the hole, then pull it though,it's a breeze. The grommet seals tight on the wires because no material was removed.
