Lowering EGT's

Air Ride Pin Box

We just got back from taking my daughter to grad school in Boulder, CO. From San Diego we did the I 15 to I 70 route. Altogether we put 3K miles on the truck. Using cruise control we had no trouble pulling our 10. 8K load up to the Eisenhower tunnel. . in fact, we passed most cars and trucks. Just dropped it out of overdrive and she pulled with ease. My daughter couldn't keep up in her Nissan Altima. As a newcomer to diesels, I was very impressed with the power. Gas mileage on the computer was 12. 2 after the trip was over (that includes almost 1 tank without a load). Great ride. I was going to get my oil changed (first one) at Wally World (I had a fleetguard filter with me), but the guy in line in front of me was there to complain about how he ruined his driveway (brand new cement) with oil leaks after getting it changed there yesterday. . so. . I decided on the local dealer. Really enjoyed passing the Powerstrokes pulling lighter loads on the grade outside of Baker. I did a lot of reading and lurking on various forums prior to buying my truck. . glad I settled on the Mighty Cummins!

Wardog,

First of all, welcome to the TDR. I am glad to hear you are getting very respectable fuel mileage with your truck. There is no better feeling then pulling a load going uphill and passing a PSD! :-laf I only have 170K on my truck and it runs better everyday! Enjoy your new ride! Oo.
