First CEL

My truck has only 1200 miles and I got my first CEL. System says "no stored codes". Runs fine. Guess I'll have to stop at the nearest dealer.

I'm on my way to Florida and Texas, first trip with my 5th wheel. I did almost run out of DEF but made it to a Flying J and purchased 3 gallons for $2.14 per gallon. First DEF fill at 1200 miles.

If the vehicle behaves normally the CEL will disappear in the near future ,How soon will be decided on what code it was. I have posted several times the CEL/VIC are not self destruct messages. Your DEF holds over 5 Gallons. 3 Gallons at 1200 miles, Are you towing big at high speeds? that consumption rate is 3 times normal, maybe that's why the CEL.

My 5th wheel weights about 13000 and I've been driving about 65-70. This truck pulls this weight like it's not even there. I'm going to try and wait until I get to Florida before I take it to a dealer if the code doesn't clear by then.

CEL light just went out. I did notice that my air filter ducting was not connected. Must have not put it in right when I connected my Block Heater cord, had to remove the air filter duct. I guess any little thing will set these systems off.

But running good with 10.5mpg the last couple of days pull the 5th.
