I have been around ford diesels for a while and dont know about the cummins . Bought a 04 CC with a 5. 4 gasser for the prodject and the doner truck is a 95 f700 with 30k miles both engines have been removed and ready to start the build . The only parts I have got so far is my PCS , and still waiting for the adapter plate , tc , motor mounts ,flywheel , and Tach to come in but should be in today . I am going to use the original r4100 trans But my main issue is not knowing alot about the cummins , also being that the engine came out of a commercial truck . And starting the killer dowel pin fix today .

1. Does the oil pan and pickup tube have to be changed ? The oil pan thats on it has the bassin towards the front of the engine .

2. Can I flip the exaust manifold to put the turbo on the top ? I think it will do fine in its current location but just currios .

3. Can removing the cluth fan and adding and electric fan keep me from moving my transmission and support back ?

4. Why does ford cummins & destroked tell you add a voltage regulator to the existing cummins alternator ? In my reseach both the 6. 0 and cummins are the same voltage .
