A few weeks ago, top officials of the EPA endorsed "clean diesel" in light-duty vehicles as a means of decreasing oil demand and CO2 emissions.



According to the Diesel Technology Forum, the Wall Street Journal ran an article today (October 24) suggesting that the top official at CARB has also endorsed diesel for light duty vehicles:



Clean-Air Czar of California Shifts to Accept Diesel Engines

(Oct. 24; Wall Street Journal) In a surprising move, CARB chairman Alan Lloyd reassessed his public view on diesel and predicted it would emerge as part of the solution to global warming.
