Looking at getting up a really nice 92 2wd ctd. does anyone know how I can get this truck of the ground a couple inches. Either body, or suspension lift. I just want to able to drive through woods and or in the fields and not bottom out. Lifting ideas are welcome. Thanks!!

I have a larger tire but can't seem to recall the size. 265/85 I think. Then combine that with the MOOG "S" springs and the front will be much higher. The tires are very close to the fender well, but have never hit yet. When I go off road I can't go far becuse the truck is only one wheel drive. . and zero weight in the bed :(

Mine has stock springs (aparently new, too), and the fender is a good 4" above the 235 tire. Mom's got new springs recently (tire was inside the fender), but I havent really looked at it closely. QALmost enough I could go to 19. 5s but not quite. Cornering might be difficult.

New springs, good shocks of your choice, and you should do ok with 265-75 16s. Little wider than stock, but close to the same height.

We have a fwd GMC with cummins/dodge drive train that has four inches under the cab and core support mounts. Running 19. 5 wheels. Shop made lift that simply raises the original mounting points. Also raised the service body style rear bed.

Has a low roll center and rides very well. Lots of space around the engine.

Moog 7226S springs have the same ride (dynamic compressability) but stand an inch & a half taller when installed on my truck. Advance Auto carries them. Look in my Gallery to see if that's enough to suit you.
