I have asked this question a few times cassualy in related posts, but I never got my question answered.

If there different grades for our trucks, similair to SLT, Larmie, etc?

I notice people have different options than me... is it a different grade, or does the truck just have many options, but no grades.

Thanks.

I've wondered this myself, but I won't be of much help here. There is the most popular version, Luxury Edition then there is a standard version I suppose.

Truck Grades

Dodge did not market these trucks in different grades, the differences are due to the option packages that where selected when purchased. The basic stripper model first gen truck was offered in a 150 model equipped with a v-6 gas engine. When the diesel engine option was selected you also got upgraded to the 250 model and also got the larger wheels and tires, this was a very good deal, as going from the base model to a 250 with a v-8 gas engine was only a few hundred dollars cheaper. The most common option was the "LE", this is a large package that included A/C, le decor pkg, rear step bumper, tilt stearing, cruise control, delux wipers, light pkg, 6x9 mirrors, power windows, power locks, am/fm cassette, spare tire, sliding rear window and tires LT235/85R16. Many trucks with the LE package also have two tone paint, when ordering two tone paint the body side moldings normaly came with that option, but were deleted, so the two tone paint was an inexpensive option when purchased with the LE package. The other options as I recolect, were 4wd, auto trans, extended cab, several different radio/tape deck options, trailer hitch, limited slip, and sway bar.

These truck were steal back in 92, and very popular here in Canada.

I have the LE package on my 92. It has two tone paint, white over red and has the moldings.

I will keep this truck as long as it keeps going. Newer one are just too much money and then you have to deal with all the electronics.
