In this truck the fuel pin that rides the cone is stuck and we were trying to get it out. I looked on here and found someone said that if you turned in the fuel screw all the way that the pin might be driven out by higher pressure from what I understood. We also tried to get the pin out by going if what looked like a passage way from the back of the pin which was on the outside of the afc housing. We had to take off the throttle lever and unhook the linkage. Our problem now is that the truck wont idle even after we adjusted the idle up, it would run when I keep my foot on the pedal a little bit. Could something at the throttle have moved and are there any tips on making this run right again I havent tried.

Thanks

If this is a VE pump you would have better luck posting in the first gen forum. There are quite a few members in there that know the fuel pin backwards and forwards !

If this is a VE then the following might apply. Your signature says its a 94 and that should have a P pum. Not sure about the P pumps.

Sounds like you may need to reindex the throttle shaft.

If the throttle lever is removed and not put back on just right, the truck may not idle without keeping some pressure on the throttle. You will have to pull the throttle linkage off and reindex the shaft. This is hard to describe and it will be best if you can find a manual and read about this. Or- maybe someone that can explain it better than me will reply.
