It appears that a few more First Generation Brothers are willing to give the 12cm2 housing a try & have made the switch.

Just wondering if it's time to work on a Secret Handshake or a Club Password for our 12cm2 fraternity?;)

How many have made the switch now?

Just curious... .

I've done been there and Joined the 2nd gen. club also. I should have my 12 off the '97 for sale here before too long... maybe this weekend. You guys get first dibs;)

I should be able to finish my 2nd Gen intercooler/ HX35/12cm install New Years weekend if nothing else breaks on the truck first. Need to find a lift pump tomorrow so I can get it home from work. See posting in 911 forum for details.

Now you've done it

Hey, now you let the cat out of the bag. :D I'm starting to question a lot of things lately about these trucks. Was told that a 12cm2 would be too hot. It wasn't. Was told that the Power Wagon injectors would add power to my truck. They didn't. I think I may be looking into injectors again.

There are still some confusing things going on out there.

Your truck, with the early head, has very "open" injectors. Feel free to just crank up the pump, as the difference between the pump settings on your truck and on, say, a 92 or 93 is considerable. And you are correct, the PW injectors about match your stock injectors, possibly losing a small amount.

Just post them up for sale in the classifieds and try the Lucas injectors, which will do some for you... about 15-20 HP - OR, just crank the fuel up a bit.

The non-intercooled trucks have pumps with rather low fuel settings, but the same horsepower as later. The difference is, that the injectors have much larger holes than the later ones do. However, the particular injector you have as stock is slowly going obsolete. It has a 9MM tip size, and everything is now going to 7MM, with the newer heads. Cummins has a "replacement" injector for the early engines, but someone told me that the new number injectors Cummins sells lose power. I have no definitive proof of that, however.

As for figuring out if you have the 12CM housing... it's pretty easy... the ability to get rubber off the line is a good clue :)

Hey Power Wagon!

I noticed in your other posting(s) that you're also planning on joining the 12cm2 Club!

Why did you decide to go 12cm2 over 14cm2?

Just curious of thoughts behind your decision...

Membership might be on hold.

I have to try and order my downpipe again today, they lost some information and could not ship it yesterday. Pretty funny though, I have not been this hyper since Santa took requests from me :p. Looks like next day air

PW's were gone within a week. The Lucas injectors aren't enough. There has to be some more power there somewhere without 4,000 RPM. Maybe getting the current injectors honed. Not sure yet. Are the lower pump settings from inside the pump or just the screw?
