Hello TDR Brothers!

Over the Memorial Day Weekend in Connecticut my girlfriend & I also picked up an awesome example of a '92 First Generation W250 Dodge and drove it back to the South. This truck is completely immaculate in every detail along with a complete service history. The only minute problem we can find with it is that is doesn't have factory "Air Conditioning".

Has anyone out there in TDR-land ever done post-factory or aftermarket air on one of our Rectangular Cummins/Dodge. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Hey Old School!

I was wondering if you could ship this posting over to the "Product Forum" for increased exposure.

I guess most of the First Generation trucks came with OEM Air Conditioning by the replys I received. This particular truck must of been delivered with the especially unique "New England Convenience Package" (sans Air!) I'm trying to Southerize it!

Thanks!... ... . Keeno

I haven't put an airconditioner on a Dodge truck, but I have put an aftermarket one on a F250 diesel.

I found that it is fairly common and you can probably find someone in the yellow pages. What you need to investigate is the size of the compressor and other units on the aftermarket unit. The one I bought worked good, but was only barely adequate for Phoenix summers. But, it was better than no air at all.

They were even able to put in the OEM vents and stuff.

I think the entire job cost about $1100.

Everything looked original when completed.

Later,
Tim
