First Gens at Thunder in Muncie

Maybe you've seen the thread in the Events forum about this event on June 8 and 9 in Muncie, IN.



How many first gens will be there? Mine will.



I'd like to see more of these great trucks and talk to their owners.

I should be getting in between 11 and midnight depending when I can get out of work Friday.

Great, that makes at least three of us. I'd love to look at that crew cab George. My two growing kids aren't going to be happy with the club cab in a few years. It's fine for now, but what I really want/need is four doors. I have a project in mind for the future.



Paul, Ugly?? All first gens look cool to me somehow.

the four doors makes a big differance get a parts truck if you do the swap its a lot eassier did not have one for mine but the ramcharger we just did having the parts truck made it alot easier George

Well there will be at least 2 CREW CABS for you to look at, I am coming friday night and staying at the campground with my 5th wheel. By the way I will be bringing a few parts to sell like a set of dana 60 front dually hubs and rotors, a right rear door, and a couple sets of mirrors, set of 9mm injectors.

Also anyone from west Michigan want to convoy ?

Counting the days???

Well today is all most gone so five more days and I will bee there. It is to close to not bee there. Crew cab How mitch for the 9mm inj. Will they work on eney truck?? Arn't them bigger then the POD??? Eney way look fourward to meeting you all with the first gens. I just want to see what dmax's show up and if eney dyno or pull to see what the do???????? Justin

Sorry the 9mm injectors are for 89,90 and early 91s, and are stock 180hp tips that are matched. The PODs are 300hp 7mm injectors.

Cool! Two crew cabs. Thinking about coming Friday night with the camper, but most likely Saturday morning. What's this I hear about a cruise on Friday night?

To heck with it, it is only 110 miles, I will bring the old W-250. Just look for a '92 silver and black truck with a Cummins C in the back right window.

I,ll be there for saturday, maybe sunday as were passing through that area on friday. We called and they said if campground is full you can camp in field across from event. RDODD.

Racin' a 1st Gen

First post here in the 1st Gen forum.

I raced my 2001 at the drags in Muncie on Sunday and got my butt handed to me by an '89.

He ran a 16. 82 with a . 773 rt.

I ran a 17. 66 with a . 907 rt.

I beleive it was wxman's truck.

Congrats!!!

Thanks, Nixter. Yup, the silver '89 was my truck. My son Stephen was doing the driving. He won something like 7 of 9 races. I think the best time we got with the truck was 16. 34 or something like that.



We also ran my 2002 VW Jetta TDI (white). Was a little disappointed that it wouldn't do any better than 17. 5. Oh well...
