first long 5er pull

Hi all, just got back from the Smokies and I have two questions, my temp gauge is alway's strait up maybe one needle width past, going up I-40 it went to the 0 in the 190 range then would slowly go down is this the normal range for the fan to kick in I never heard the (roar) at one time I did hear a low howl but nothing like I had expected, and on fuel, the gauge close to e and the fuel light would come on I could only get 27 gallon's in? That's about what my temp gauge does, pulling a Wildcat 28BHS 5er. Must be normal.

with the air on fill tilt and 10K of TT in tow we run between 180-190 depending on outside temps.



for example yesterday we came home in the heat of the day (90's) and the temp pretty much stayed on 190 most of the time.

As it happens we are in the middle of a trip fro NE Kansas through the smokies to North Carolina then we head back Fri. My truck runs 200 degrees pulling a 13k 5th wheel at 70 mph through the smokies. 11mpg, 1050 exhaust. Later
