fuel tank pick-up upgrades

here you go guys, here are some preliminary pics of my 5" Stack install. Pics aren't the best but you can get the idea. As soon as I get someone to take a few pics of me blowin smoke y'all will be the first to see'em. I blame this whole project on Puff, because until I saw his black stacks the other day I wasn't real sure about them on my truck. But when I saw his pics I was Oo.

So thanks Puff, now I am poor. ;)

Stacks are here

Nice Job! I'm still torn on whether or stack or not...

I like them on other folks' trucks, but I'm not sure they're for me...

They sure do sound sweet though!

A little smoke for ya

Thanks for all the positive comments guys, and Duane you definately need some stacks. Just put them on and you won't regret it.

Well with no one around to take pictures for me, I was forced to take them as I drove. A little tougher than I thought. Only came up with one good one. I definately need more fuel so I can leave a better smoke trail.

Nice cammera work! I probably wouldnt have gotten anything but sky if I tried that.

Your set up looks real good! Bout how tall is the stack over the top of the bed?

Believe me, I got several pictures of just sky and some of the side of my head before I got that one. The stacks are about 30" tall from the bed rail, which makes them about 8" over the cab.

Those are sweet. I see you went with 6" just to make mine look puny. :D The black on silver looks great. I'd lend you some money, but I don't have any left either. :)

Hey they look great I would like to do something like that but I have a ARE aluminum cap I hate to cut into.....

I painted the stacks black using high temp engine paint just like Puff. Just sanded them down and sprayed away. It doesnt hold up very well though, they are already scratched up pretty bad. I am going to have them powdercoated when I get a chance.

And Puff they are 5" just like yours so don't think yours are puny. :D

thanks again for all the positive comments. I get more funny looks from people driving around then I ever imagined. I fella even told me I was stupid because no I can't haul chickens around in the bed anymore? I don't haul chickens so I guess I will leave my "Chicken Chokers" on.

Thought that was a 5" -> 6" adapter.

Let me know how the powder coating holds up. My paint job is holding up pretty well, so I won't powder coat for a while. The high-gloss powder coat is not rated for very high temp, so I'm not sure how it will hold-up.
