First Oil Change

I changed oil and filter at 3500 and have 3300 on the oil change now. Checked it today just for heck of it and the oil looks like I just changed it.



Running Delo 15 - 40



In my 95 12 valve the oil would have been black as heck by now.

Totally impressed with this whole rig. You just have to love this 03, best move I made in a long time was getting this rig.



The mileage is running from 16. 9 to 17. 9

I change mine every 5000 km / 3100 mi I know I don't have to as it comes out clean as a whistle but the truck will have 400,000 miles on it in 4 years & I figure clean oil just can't hurt. Also change FF every 20,000. using 0w-40 syn. At 50 to 60,000 will put 75/140 in rear diff as I pull a lot of really heavy stuff & there are lots of hills here

DCaswell I hope you don't change your oil every 5000 KM when you switch to 0-40 Syn



5000KM on non-synthetic is way overkill on these Cummins, the subject has been discussed at length. Save your oil, save your money, save your time.



I ran my 2nd oil change 7775 miles and my 3rd one 6574 miles and the oil samples came back looking awesome. This was using Delo 400. I didn't sample my first oil change. For you tibologists:
